My Netgear Router is not getting an IP Address. Keeps saying limited or no activity. What do I do?

It is the wireless desktop upstairs that is not getting an IP Address from my router or something. Not so sure what is wrong.
CORRECTION: It is my Computer upstairs w/ the wireless adapter that is not getting an IP Address from the router downstairs.

1. Too far away?

2. There could be a lot of different scenarios happening here, given your high speed modem is actually online, and your desktop worked previously at this same distance from the router, try power cycling your router. Unplug it from the wall.. let it sit without power for a minute, then plug it back in and let it start up for a minute and try getting online again

3. Could be distance.
