my IP address is different then the standard IP address for my router?
Okay, so I'm trying to connect my DS to wifi, but I'm not sure what to do. I keep getting a hole bunch of error messages, and when I look for my IP adress it's diffrent then the one they show on most sites for my router. Which IP adress am I supposed to enter into my DS?

1. The IP shown at Internet sites is your external IP - that is the IP shown to the rest of the world so they know where to send information.You are dealing with the IP on your network. Your router should have a default of 192.168.1.1. It may be 10.0.1.1 depending on the brand.
Now, to answer your question - you need to use your router's network IP - 192.168.1.1 if you are connecting from the device to the router.
Some things that might be an issue - I am not sure how DS works, but you may need to set the IP of the DS up so it doesn't change. In that case, you would give it a static IP address. Your manual should let you know if you need to do this.
