1. Click start, run, type cmd and hit enter. In the black command prompt type ipconfig and hit enter. Whatever comes up as your default gateway is your routers IP address.
2. Depends on what make the router is. You could try 192.168.1.1 which is a normal router IP address
3. Router IP probably 192.168.1.1
4. theres a reset button on the comcast tower press it then try
5. is the ip your looking for the routers or the computers ?
if its the computers ip try going in to command prompt and typing ipconfig it will give you an ip, if you are trying to get in to your router load internet exsploer and type 192.168.100.1 and that should load the internals for the router if it has one
6. Go onto a speed test website =]
7. ipconfig /all see the default gateway ..this will be our router IP (if no other device like access-point etc.(not hub/switch) in between your router and pc ...if you have connected any other device in between ..access your device and see its default gateway.
8. If you are connected, go to Start > Run and type cmd. Then type ipconfig and press enter. Look at the top, and the IP address with the titile "Default Gateway" is your router IP.
Type that into your web browser.
If you need a password, try looking in the router manual or look for default passwords.
9. If your signal is constantly dropping, an ipconfig may show you a 169.254.x.x address which is called an APIPA address - used for ease of home networking.
Make sure you have a connection first (keep your eye on it carefully to be sure you get the correct information)
Open a command prompt by clicking on Start -> Programs -> Accessories and then Command Prompt (I had to enable "run" on the vista start menu, which is why I give the navigation route) or hold down the windows key and press "r"
followed by typing in "cmd" - without quotes.
Type in ipconfig into the black box, and it will return with information relevant to most likely 2 network adapters. Look for the one listed as "wireless" if you're not cabled up, and you will see 3 things listed:
IP address -> your computers network address
Subnet mask -> by definition, it's where you computer "is" on the network
Gateway -> The gateway address is typically a router address and in the case of home users 99% of the time, your link to the configuration of the router.
Enter this Gateway address into Internet explorer's address bar and press enter.
You may need a user ID and password to connect onto your router. this should be in your manual.
Good luck.
