How do I get the wireless router ip address to ask for a password?
192.168.1.1
is the default right?
I have typed it in the url bar and nothing pops up but a "this page cannot connect" mumbojumbo item.
Help !

1. The ip address depends on what brand and mode the router is.the one you tried does not seem correct.
google the router make and model
the manufactures website will tell you what the IP is.
Or you can use cmd.exe just Press the start button type cmd.exe in the search or the run box
Then the command prompt will open or if you searched for it you need to open it.
Then type ipconfig /all (and press enter )
make sure you have a space between the g and /
scroll down to where it will say default gateway the number to the right
will be your routers IP Address
One more thing you may need to
connect to the router with an ethernet cord
sometimes a router may be set to not allow wireless
