Internet sharing from MAC to PC with XP without a router?

I know, I can connected directly to the router. But I need to know how can I turn the mac into an acces point. There is an Airport Extreme. The Ibook connects to it wirelessly. I followed Airport Extreme netwok design guide without succes. I want to share the mac's connection through its ethernet port. I went to preferences and activated internet sharing. The xp shows "connected", but I can't do nothing. What must I do in the xp settings? Thank you. :-)

1. the cable betewwn the pc's has to be a crossover and not a patch. also your mac ip address becomes the proxy ip address to use on the xp box. this assumes you know you have to set up proxy by running the inetwiz command from start>run on the xp box.
