New cabinet panel doors for bathroom vanity?
How would you make a panel door?

I wouldn't suggest a single piece of wood, it will have a tendency to warp and possibly split. A single piece of wood that wide is also very expensive if you could find it. I would be more practical to make a panel door.
I'm looking to replace the current vanity doors in my bathroom with homemade wooden doors I can stain. I'd like to be able to use one piece of wood per door and router a design in them. Is there any type of wood I can use that won't warp because of the moisture?

1. Any flat board will warp, or "cup." Cupping occurs as the wood dries, with age. Even kiln dried lumber has residual moisture. As the wood dries, the cells shrink, causing a distortion that bends the wood along the direction of the end grain. Raised panel doors are made with joinery techniques that put the component boards' grains at different angles, forcing them to hold each other straight. A flat, or "slab" door, must be made out of a non-wood product. A wood veneer can be applied, that would be stainable.
2. I would try a piece of 3/4" AC plywood, I don't think it would warp, but if you are afraid of it cupping you could screw some 3/4"x3/4" pieces of hardwood to the backside of the door to prevent any warping or cupping.
