What sort of router and switches will I need?
I am designing a network for a training center that has 4 classrooms with 24 machines in each so thats 72 client machines at least
client server architecture , with wired cat5 star topology

1. First off, will all these computers need internet access? Second, will there be needed security between the different classrooms? Finally, how far, in distance, will all these classrooms be from the internet connection (if applicable)?If you're designing just a flat network, you simply need a mid-level router (check linksys.com) with at least 2 48-port switches.
Of course, this configuration changes if: 1) the distance between classrooms and the network closet (if applicable) is far and 2) if you need some advanced routing and/or security.
