how to connect computer to computer to router
I have a short Ethernet cable that I would like to connect to a second computer that is connected to a router (with a spare Ethernet port) so that the first computer is connected to the router. Is there some software designed for this? thanks
The reason why I want to connect the first computer to the second one and then the router is because my cable is too short to go directly to the router. I do not need any additional hardware, just the right software.

1. Connect one end of the ethernet cable to the router(free port) and the other end to the second computer. If you do not want to use the spare port for the second computer then buy a hub. This will add more ports if that is what your looking for.2. is there another port on the router? everything should plug into the router, then set up a network to share files between computers
