Can't log into my router ip address gateway even though I know password?
I'm trying to get into my router's IP adress gateway. I found the correct IP adress and when I go there, it wants a username and password. I entered the name of the router connection and the security password but it wouldn't work. I was just able to connect to my router with a mobile device using the password so the password hasn't changed. Please help

1. You are using the network password and it's the wrong password. Generally the password that will work will be on a sticker on the bottom of the router. If it hasn't been changed from the default it's normally something like
Username: (leave blank)
Password: Admin
If that doesn't work and you can't find it on the router google default password and the model number.
2. Just like you have a user/pass to log into your computer, so does the router. Its not the user/pass that you use to actually connect to the wireless service. If you had told us the make/model of the router, we could tell you the default user/pass to use. Since you didn't, you'll have to visit the manufacturer's website and look it up. You can try a few of the following:
1. (blank)/admin
2. admin/(blank)
3. admin/admin
