My router's IP address is different from my macs IP address?

My routers IP is 192.168.1.1
My laptops address is 192.168.2.1
I cannot forward ports to XBL because the second to last digit is different. I'd like to have only the last number change and keep the first 3 the same.

1. First of all, visit your routers configuration page (type its address in the address bar of your web browser), and log in.
Find LAN settings, and make sure DHCP server is enabled.
Next, save the settings.
On your laptop, open Control Panel, go to Network and Sharing Center, then Change adapter settings (left pane).
If your laptop is on wireless, right click your wireless network adapter. If on Ethernet, right click local area connection. Choose Properties from the drop-down menu.
In the new window, double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
In the new window, make sure Obtain IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically are both checked, and click OK.
