How do I access my router password?

I have a Buffalo Air Station High Power router, but I've forgotten my access password. How do I find it on line?

Public Comments

1. Try user = admin, password = admin

2. It's easy to recover passwords from most applications and website accounts. I did it easily w/ this guide. Here is the link: Click Here!

3. The default username for Buffalo router is root.
There's no password required.

If the defaults don't work then reset the router by sticking a pin inside the hole at the back and hold it for 15-30secs until the power light comes off and back on.

Meanwhile, if you have a laptop that is able to connect wirelessly to the router then just look at the properties of that wireless connection and see the wifi password. You can also run this:

4. Are you sure you are talking about the right thing

when you want to Alter some router settings you have to LOGin to
the router. You do this by making sure you are connected by wire
via a LAN. Then enter the webpage address usually 192.168.1.1 or .0

then you enter a USERname PASSword to get into the router menu.
these can usually be left to default vaules but sometimes they can be
reset by RESETTING the whole unit. They are usually printed on a label
on the router, or in the manual somewhere.

anyway, are you sure thats what you wanted?

maybe what you meant to say is when you were trying to join a wireless network
you have forgotten the Security PASSkey value.

you have to LOGin as above to the ROUTER to SET this to a new value.
