How to access router option from a MAC?
I'm trying to find my router preferences on my MAC and I think there's a way to do it from the browser but I don't know what it is. I need to disable the security on the router temporarily. Thanks!

1. You will need to go to a certain ip address depending on your brand of router. If it is a Belikin router, go to http://192.168.2.1 . If it is a Linksys router, go to http://192.168.1.1 . For others, just Google _brand_ router ip address
2. You're going to have to look up the specific settings for your individual router because each model router is different. It's most likely going to involve going to your default gateway address in your browser (probably http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 or http://10.0.0.1 but it could be something else) and entering a default username and password- the username and password you need are different for each router.
You don't need to look up anything special for the Mac- because it's done through a web browser, the instructions are the same for all operating systems. That should make it easier to find the results for your router.
3. If it is a bt home hub the try 192.168.1.254 that might help you ok as it does for me
