Can I use a wireless router and wireless network to get a computer that requires a wired connection online?
My roommate just got a new PC and unfortunately it doesn't have a wireless network card. We have a wireless network available but would be unable to run cable from the router to the machine. Would I be able to use an extra wireless router to connect to the network and then connect to the machine? In other words, the router would pick up the signal and he would plug into the router to connect to the internet. Thanks!

1. 1.) - They sell USB wireless receivers, they work really well and you just plug them in and can connect to nearby wireless networks. You can get them at any computer or electronics store, even Walmart, and they are fairly inexpensive ($15).
Here is an example - http://www.amazon.com/F5D7050-Wireless-802-11g-Network-Adapter/dp/B0002HA7FY
2.) - You can use a router to do this, but it is complicated because the default router software is not set up to do so. You would have to download "dd-wrt," and flash it onto the router, then set up what is called a "repeater-bridge" so that it can re-transmit the signal from router to PC.
If you still want to do it, you need to be pretty good with computers: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Repeater_Bridge
2. Amazing! Is it what you need? http://findsth.info/341614/wireless-networking-card
