How can i access my router setup page?

Hi. I set up a wireless connection at home, but i cannot manage to access the router (through typing the password in the browser). when i type in the ip address i can only connect to the modem so i dont know how to change the password for my wireless connection or not even make it ïnvisiblle" so others cannot identify my connection. Anyone that can help?

1. go to 192.168.1.1 in url bar
uername admin
password "admin" or "password"

2. Your router does have this option... make sure you search everywhere... and to access the router will be your WAN IP plus a port# like http://194.234.65.90: 7007
But if not.. due to BIG security risk... try this...

Log onto your home computer and access it via the local ip... 192.168..... that will definitely work...

CHEERS.

Are talking about remotely right... because if you were at home on your local, this shouldn't even be a task.

3. This is very difficult to answer because you do not say what make and model router you have.

4. You access it via a pc linked to the LAN via a wired, not wireless link. Secondly you enter into Internet Explorer, the numeric IP address of the router, which may well have been changed from factory default. Finally you need to enter the user name and password for the device, which may well have been changed from factory default.
