Is it bad to release your IP address under your router settings?
i was told i could get a new IP address by releasing my ip address and then turning off the router and modem for the night. is there a chance a new ip wont be issued and my internet will not work. or is it no big deal to release the ip.
i have optimum cable

1. It might work - it depends on whether anyone connects and gets your old one. Will getting a new one accomplish anything for you? No, not a thing.
