Is it possible to use a standard BELKIN 802.11G WIRELESS ROUTER to access ADSL2 internet?

I am new to home wireless internet and I want to sign a contract for a wireless bundle. I need to know if it possible to use a standard BELKIN 802.11G WIRELESS G 4 PORT ROUTER 54Mbps 2.4G to access ADSL2+ or is it used just for ADSL1. Basically, for ADSL2+ is it ok to buy any belkin wireless router of is there a specific one I should buy? The company I want to sign up with is iinet in Australia.

1. I just poked through the wiki article and didn't see any mention of new authentication methods so should work just fine. 802.11g maxes at 54mpbs and adsl2+ is about 24mbps so won't event have a speed drop really.

just make sure the modem has an ethernet port on it to hook to the wireless router.

2. It really depends on exactly which Belkin Router modem you have. Earlier routers no, newer routers yes.

You can check the spec at http://www.belkin.com/support/

3. Yes a Belkin or any other brand of wireless router will work with ADSL2+ so long as the ADSL2+ network bridge provides an Ethernet port.
