How can I access a router configuration without a password?

I use a DSL cable connected to a swich that is connected to a router,the problem is some one in this network is playing with gateway some how making the internet sometime cuts off ,and I need to access the router that I cant get a passwod to ,to make
portforwarding..
I'd apperciate your help
Without Using RESET,and dont consider this illegal cuz I pay money!

1. try "admin" as the password, as it is the default on most routers. You can also reset the router by pushing in the little button in the rear with a pen for 10 seconds. That should bring the router back to the factory settings...

2. One person should be responsible for the network...the network administrator. Speak to that person about port forwarding.

3. How can I unlock your house door without the correct key...There are reasons for passwords.

If you have a legit reason for getting in then reset the router and start from the beginning to rebuild it. Elsewise...y'all SOL

4. If you cant get the password of it and its YOUR router...reset it and start over. Look at the settings before you reset it and then get everything back the way it was. Put a password that only you can figure out.

5. Most internet routers have a reset button on the back. Just depress it for 5-10 seconds. Then try using "admin" for both the username and password.
