How do you find a wireless routers IP address?

I have got a Netgear wireless router, could you please tell me how I find out the IP Address so I can adjust my security settings so I can use Xbox Live on wireless?

Public Comments

1. probably is 192.168.1.1

simply open your cmd prompt and type in ipconfig /all

seriously however if you do not know this , might be a good idea not to muck with it

2. Open a command prompt box on a computer connected to the router. Type IPCONFIG and press Enter. The Default Gateway is your router's IP address.

3. open command prompt, to do this click start then run and type cmd in the dialog box, then click ok
once in command prompt type: ipconfig /all
your wireless routers IP should be next to the Default Gateway
it is more than likely to be 192.168.1.1

4. If your computer is connected directly to the router, you can obtain the information by running an ipconfig on your computer.

how to (on a Windows based PC):

- Left click on the Start Button (buttom left hand corner of your screen), select run.
- type in cmd and click ok
- a black box should pop up, type ipconfig /all
- it will display information, your default gateway is the IP address to your router.

how to access the router:
- Open up Internet Explorer. In the address field, type "http://"the IP address for your default gateway""
- that should bring up the web interface for your router.
