How do I know external IP address on my router?
I have a router that has both local IP 192.168.2.1 and external IP (unknown) to me. Cos I lost the paper that came with my fractional T1 line when I installed it. I want to know the external IP address on the router. How do I get this?
Thanks

1. http://whatismyip.com will tell you
2. Your external IP is easy to get just go to this web page, it will tell you what it is...

3. whatismyip.com
also you can try 'ipconfig' from DOS Prompt of ur pc.
4. Most routers have a web-based interface to them. If you point your browser to http://192.168.2.1 you should see the router's interface. Once you log in to the interface there is usually a place that shows your public (external) IP address.
5. start
run
type "cmd"
press enter
type "ipconfig/all"
press enter
check around there

7. Well, since your internal IP should be hidden from the internet you could try one of those sites that tests your firewall.
Those sites should only be able to see your external IP and maybe the type browser you're using.
Otherwise, you could just call your ISP that provided your T-1 and they can tell you.
