Ok, I do not want to reset the router, I just want to find out the WEP key so I can connect to the enternet with laptops. Resetting it is out of the question. It is a LINKSYS router and I just want to find out the WEP key. Thank You

I need to get onto my router's IP address in order to forward ports so I can open my NAT for xbox live. I did this about a month ago and it worked fine. I typed in 192.168.1.1 in my browser's address bar and typed in the default name and password admin and admin, but everytime I try they fail.

Hi, we just had a new modem router Netgear DG834G installed at work. This is the same as my home one so am well aware of ow it works. Funny thing is I used to be able to access our OLD router on explorer via 10.0.0.3 but doesn't work on the new router. I have tried netgear's default 192.168.0.1 It's not that either. So went on a site that scans your network (10 pc's and 3 network printers). It gave the IP address for all the pc's and printers but not the router. It's as though it is hidden. Have also noticed that our internet is far slower than it was before, even though the old modem operated at a slower speed than the netgear. Any ideas Actually you are all worng. I am experienced were networking is concerned and IPCONFIG/ALL does not give the router address, only the ip address of our server. The IP address is 10.0.0.201 and found it easy. The router icon was simply located in my network places. It is not set up as a DCHP server as all our pc's have static routing. I need to access the router as I am the one who re-boots it if our internet is not working and also makes a back up of the settings. Still can't understand why our internet is slow, even with 1 pc online and have checked the speed which is about 5.5mbps. Thanks to you all anyway

I am getting DNS Errors when my son is trying to use his computer. We have 3 computers set up via the wireless router. We use broadband internet via the BB modem connected into the router. The main computer is using a direct ethernet cable and the laptop uses a linksys wireless card. My sons computer uses a linksys wireless pci card and that is the one having the DNS issues. I have set up the tcp/ip connections with static ip's because I kept getting a network ip address conflict when using automatic DHCP. My sons computer is able to establish a connection to the router, but no internet access is available. Does anyone know what is going on with my sons computer and what I could do to get it working correctly? Linksys site wasn't any help. Thanks!
